Description

The S12XE family of MCUs takes the S12XD family a step further with features that deliver enhanced system integrity and greater functionality, including:

Memory protection unit (MPU)

Error correction code (ECC)

Enhanced EEPROM functionality

Enhanced XGATE

Frequency-modulated locked loop

Faster analog-to-digital converter (ADC)

Additionally, the S12XE family:

Extends the S12X product range up to 1 MB of flash memory with increased I/O capability in the 208-pin version of the flagship MC9S12XE100

Delivers 32-bit performance with all the advantages and efficiencies of a 16-bit MCU

Is optimized for automotive multiplexing, generic auto body and industrial applications

Features

XGATE co-processor assists building virtual peripherals and boosting the overall performance

Flexible, programmable, hardware-emulated EEPROM

System integrity support with the memory protection unit & supervisor/user modes
